Risen... Like a Phoenix

Isn't it so strange how we all started off as these innocent babies...how asking for something meant screaming at the top of our lungs until eventually, EVENTUALLY someone would receipt our wails, with no actual guarentee of being noticed or catered to? Isn't it amazing how we grow, continiously developing our own intellect, our own way of thought, our own way of responding to whatever the world throws at us? The human life cycle is amazing and for some unknown reason something I can barely grasp as reality.

Yet again my never-ending allegro-phobia has once again placed me in a situation where I'm idle (thanks Simi!) ; subsequently left at the mercy of my wondering mind...5.21pm in the sun thoroughly observing my surroundings...I love and embrace how I manage to get so lost in my own mind but at the same time I wish I had just been so busy to the extent that I would not even have the TIME to be able to have arrived at this stage of contemplation.

ANYWAY... I've been looking at Elie Saab's Fall couture collection 2010 and upon sight of even the first garment I have been in an unstable state of awe. The collection screams glamour and luxury, the palette is so rich and vibrant with great attention to detail as well as a muted play on volume- plus everyone KNOWS the power of a sexy strong woman draped in red. I could only imagine how beautiful the creative process of this collection must have been and how much those fabrics must have cost! (This is me speaking as a complete novice at determining the expense of cloths so forgive me if I'm wrong). The collection immediately provides the overwhelming feeling of power - RAW and elemental power! The flame printed maxi dresses on the elongated frames of the models, teamed with the fluidity of the fabric really pulled on my heart strings... and for this I feel almost as if this designer will always have a place in my heart! I don't ever believe that Elie Saab will lose its strong femininity or its obvious elegance. Good on ya Saab! Another job well done!! Here are a few pieces from the collection:
